We don’t really keep a lot of celebratory drinks around the house, and neither one of us are big cocktail drinkers, so we don’t have many of the raw ingredients for such things. Surprisingly, though, scotch & sparkling cider isn’t really too bad, although it probably could’ve done with some proportion adjustments. Perhaps it’s worth some future experimenting, although I’m not sure I’d want to use the “good scotch” I keep around for special occasions for such investigations. On the other hand, using inferior ingredients might yield inferior results.

Regardless, we don’t really have much of a budget for such research, so I probably won’t be following the “Scotch+Sparkling Cider” line of study any time soon.
