If you’re looking for a refreshing summer afternoon treat, you should give grapefruit a try. And then give the remainder a little extra splash, if you’re feeling saucy. I think the concoction that Lorie created (just the one time– this isn’t her habit!) is a version of a Greyhound, served “on the rind,” rather than in a glass with ice. If I recall correctly, we served a big mixture of Greyhounds at our wedding– “the pink drink”, I believe, because we added some coloring to make it straight-up pink. Some virtuoso dancing from guests caught off-guard ensued. If you’re planning a wedding, be sure to provide small, serving-size appropriate glasses, since a pint of greyhound packs a punch!
